Explanation
Santa Claus is a character who is said to bring Christmas gift; usually, parents buy gifts for their children and claim it was Santa Claus who brought them. Logically, parents of impoverished kids, who have less money, would buy less gifts.
In this comic, however, Santa is presented as a real figure; he does not seem to directly answer the question of why impoverished kids get less presents.
