Explanation

Santa Claus is a character who is said to bring Christmas gift; usually, parents buy gifts for their children and claim it was Santa Claus who brought them. Logically, parents of impoverished kids, who have less money, would buy less gifts.

In this comic, however, Santa is presented as a real figure; he does not seem to directly answer the question of why impoverished kids get less presents.

Transcript

Two-panel comic.

Panel 1: A kid looks up at Santa Claus and asks, "Santa why do impoverished children like me get less presents".

Panel 2: A realistic drawing of Santa Claus in simple colors; he is looking at the viewer with a curious expression and tilting his glasses.
